The Niagara Peninsula is one of Canada’s regional gems. This idle property exists within one of the richest wine growing regions in Canada. In order to develop the property, the owner requested a land usage analysis to be used for discussion and approval with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. The natural habitat was respected as well as considerations made for building off of the floodplain. The feasibility of a vineyard, outbuildings, access points and utilities, property setbacks as well as pathing and pedestrian bridges to navigate the historic wetlands were all factored into the design.
